Magners, why is darkness such a bright idea?

Now, how do you advertise cider? Do you show people going crazy after having a ‘few’ or do you take people on a journey of emotion behind the drink? Well, this take on cider from Magners celebrates the very wisdom of making it and the importance of the darkness in that process to make it taste even better.

Agency The Red Brick Road really delivers with this witty spot. The ad is set almost entirely in darkness, and has us see the lovely inhabitants of Irish town ‘Clonmel’ continue their normal daily activities at night. Playing tennis and attending the nudist societies, like you do, to highlight they can be better played out in the dark. The ad keeps it simple and is a nice gentle reminder to the World that not only is Magners a well thought out concoction but that they like to do things a little differently.

The whole integrated campaign in fact serves well to really amplify Magners philosophy, educating us in an interesting way, to make us understand, ‘There’s method in the Magners’. Why not have a look at the print work showing the gloriously well lit pints of Magners for yourself?
